The holiday season is upon us and we thank you for thinking of Hope After Loss in your year-end giving.
Sadly, we have heard the words, "my baby has died and I need help" countless times this past year. We also hear from caregivers who are looking for advice on how to provide the best care for their patients experiencing this devastating loss. We hear from social workers assisting families looking for a way to afford a cremation or burial. We wish we didn't need to exist, but we do. In the State of Connecticut alone, there are tens of thousands miscarriages, stillbirths and infant deaths every year and for each one, a parent and family who potentially needs our programs.
This year has been particularly hard for families suffering a loss and we have had to change the way we deliver support. The good news is, our virtual support groups are working! However, we need your help to continue to be there when the phone rings.
Now that the holiday season is upon us and we hope you will think of Hope After Loss in your year-end giving. All donations to Hope After Loss go directly towards maintaining our programing and are tax deductible as allowed by law.
Give any amount in the month of November or on Giving Tuesday (December 1st) and we will send this card to whoever you'd like to let them know you are thinking of them.

Any amount you can give will help families suffering the loss of a pregnancy or infant. For example,
$25 allows a grieving parent to attend a free support group after their baby has died
$50 trains peer facilitators across CT to help newly bereaved parents
$100 teaches hospital staff how to compassionately say, “there is no heartbeat.”
$250 contributes to a baby’s funeral expense for a family of limited income.
